In occasione della Design Week, nel negozio Pirelli di  Corso Venezia – 1,  saranno esposte due straordinarie installazioni per sottolineare il  legame tra Pirelli e il design.

Movimento, energia cinetica e tecnologia applicata sono elementi e caratteristiche che stanno alla base del mondo Pirelli .

Per questo, in occasione della Design Week, sono state allestite nelle vetrine  di Pirelli Corso Venezia, 1 due installazioni che riproducono in versione macro il Pendolo di Newton, il celebre oggetto di design usato per illustrare le leggi di conservazione della quantità di moto e dell’energia.

La prima vetrina riproduce il Pendolo di Newton in azione, con quattro sfere verniciate in metallo cromato, mentre la seconda mostra 4 sfere trasparenti che contengono le C Rex, le sneaker in tessuto e crosta con la caratteristica P lunga ricamata sul fianco,  la suola in gomma iniettata direttamente sulla tomaia e con l’impronta radiale.

Sullo sfondo della vetrina, busti con indosso le Box Jacket, i bomber antivento e waterproof in jersey gommato tinto in capo, ispirati al mondo del motorsport.

Pirelli PZero, the brand of clothing and accessories of the group, will be present  in  the Pirelli stand at the Geneva Motor Show from  7^th  to 17^th of March.

The rain collection, rain jacket and pants ;  the new skis created in collaboration with Head  , and the main Fall Winter 2013-14 footwear Pzero Collection: the Rain Performance with drip-saving custom patch and the Scorpion tire  marks on the sole ;  the Rock Adventure made with rubberized calf and ballistic  fabric   inserts and finally biker boots.

On the fifth floor of Knightsbridge’s store a scenic installation  shows  Pzero Spring  Summer collection. The circular pop up area consists  of two circular  walls dedicated both to clothes  and shoes. Pirelli Pzero’s urban and active world  is represented  both by the new collection  and by two Pirelli customized bikes, fixed to the walls in a perpendicular way

The first  window (showcase )  has a pop parisienne atmosphere,  with a fuchsia   explosion given by PZero trench and a nylon rain scarf, an iconic accessory of  the 60′s by Pirelli Confezioni, reproposed and updated by Pirelli PZero.  on  the feet the new open-toe sandals designed by Diego Dolcini.

In the second window  ( showcase )  a  true parade of ballerinas by Pirelli Pzero made in collaboration with Diego Dolcini, the shoe designer on the red carpet that last year  designed the first feminine and fashion   Pirelli biker boots.

The circular shape of the parade of ballerinas remembers Esther Williams choreographies.

For the 83^rd edition of Pitti Uomo, Pirelli PZero presents a men’s collection that is more compact and focused, thus creating a perfect balance between style, quality, innovation and technology, core values that the Pirelli brand and heritage are built on. For next fall-winter the PIRELLI collection re-interprets iconic men’s styles to create an urban collection, ideal for free time, enriched with technical materials and detailing which make the pieces well suited to a functional, dynamic and contemporary lifestyle.

The collection was inspired by three main themes: urban, leisure time and biker.

In the urban line, classic styles such as trench coats, pea-coats and parka jackets have been re-visited and enriched with original ideas such as detachable vests as well as with technical materials like micro rep and laminated flannel with reflective detailing. The line is completed by knitwear in extra-fine wool, shirts and chinos.

The free time segment of the PIRELLI line is made of pieces tailored in high-performance materials like micro ripstop, laminated fabrics and Lycra detailing, typical of active wear and blend harmoniously with wool and flannel. Reversible jackets, puffer jackets with heat-sealed seams that can be folded away into a pouch and padded micro ripstop shirts with quilted tech-flannel shoulders are the key styles in this line. It is rounded out with knitwear in extra-fine wool, cashmere and cotton-cashmere blend in a jacket inspired silhouette, and gauzed cotton pique and two-toned quilted sweatshirts; piece-dyed t-shirts and polo shirts in colourful cotton pique. Enzyme washes and carbon finishes ensure that sweatshirts, t-shirts and polo shirts are ultra soft.

Last but not least, the biker line composed of leather jackets inspired by the world of motorbikes and bikers. Three quarter length jackets and classic biker jackets with the same stitching and silhouettes as the cotton pique sweatshirts.

The footwear is also divided into the three themes: urban, free time and biker. In this scenario, the connection to the world of tyres is even more apparent. The focus is on protection from and resistance to water, style and performance. The new soles are inspired by the tread on the Scorpion tyre, and leave oval prints and the marks of a fast take off. The range includes more outdoorsy styles such as the “Rain Performance” a technical and ergonomic shoe; the polacchino boot in microfiber, ballistic nylon and cordura nylon as well as ankle boots with side zippers for all the bikers. The new PZero collection capitalises on and develops the PIRELLI brand’s core values: technology and solidity, strength and innovation as well as a capacity to astonish our public.

Even the Fortezza da Basso stand impeccably tells the story of the PIRELLI brand with nods to the world of cars, motorsports racing and high performance: studded wheels as a welcome carpet and an industrial ethos inside with carpentry tables where the production materials for making PIRELLI soles are displayed.

The RAIN capsule collection was presented at Pirelli’s Milan boutique on Corso Venezia on December 12^th; it is a complete line (raincoat, jacket and pants) of rainproof clothing for men and women that can be folded into a compact size and is ideal for people on the move, who have to deal with traffic on their motorbikes even in adverse weather conditions.

Pirelli has created rainproof clothing and accessories since the 1960’s. Today Pirelli, who has also built its reputation on the brand’s involvement in the world of motor sports offers solutions for men and women who move around on two wheels every day and want to team style and comfort with protection from the rain.

All the “rain sottosella” (rain under the seat) pieces are tailored in a three layer fabric with a Delfy Toray TM laminate which makes the textile impressively water proof, (with a waterproof rating of 10,000mm, thus making it suitable for snowfalls and prolonged downpours) while also ensuring a high level of breathability (10,000 grams per square m/24 hours, thanks to micro-porous membranes which allow molecule vapours to be released from the fabric). All of this creates comfort and well being for the people who choose to wear these pieces.

The pieces are tailored in a light polyester microfiber which gives it a silky quality as well as making it completely waterproof. The workmanship which does not use traditional stitching allows us to create clothing by applying highly innovative techniques such as heat sealing, laser cutting and assembly using ultrasounds and special glues. This technology ensures that the items are lightweight, ergonomic and above all, waterproof.

The outerwear and pants are high performing while maintaining a sense of style and elegance in the silhouettes. A great deal of attention has been paid to the details such as waterproofing, coated and reversible zippers, logoed zipper tabs, flaps and double sliders, an inner drawstring waist, long lycra cuffs with a thumb hole and anthracite gray reflective trim on the back and the back of the sleeves. The Pirelli logo at the breast and behind the neck are also reflective.

A raincoat, short jacket and pants are available for men and women. Available in red, blue or dark olive green.

All the pieces that make up the line are functional, light weight and can be folded into a compact size that fits into a practical pouch, perfect for storing either under the seat or in the trunk of a scooter or a motorbike.

With this capsule collection, Pirelli continues to draw inspiration from the world of motor sports by bringing together super technical materials and fabrics, a ready to wear attitude and an urban fit.

Alongside its sports clothing, PZero also offers new generation skis stemming from the collaboration between PZero and Head.
These wood and carbon skis come with the innovative anti-vibration system Intelligence Technology and with Power Tubes technology, whereby eight metal elements grant the skis optimal grip on hard snow. Finally, the “3D Diffusor” technology permits optimal turning. Through the partnership with Head, Pirelli has succeeded in guaranteeing the grip, control and resistance of its skis, as of its SOTTOZERO winter tyres™.

This year, the range has been enriched through the company’s cherished collaboration with Burton, the pioneer of snowboard manufacturing, for the creation of a complete set of products designed for the vast community of snowriders.
At the top of the range is the lightweight and high performing Burton ION boot with a Pirelli sole. The Mystery snowboard is Burton’s lightest snowboard yet, in glossy black with gold details.And finally, 2013 Burton Diode EST Made for Pirelli bindings permit total control under all snow circumstances.

The exhibition’s objective-which will be held in the former Krasny Octybar factory, a piece of industrial archaeology in the centre of Moscow-is to open the window on Italy through an unusual narrative journey of the finest quality. Three main themes were agreed upon: Design, Fashion and Technology, in other words the areas that speak of the excellence of Italian made goods.
PZero and its products will be exhibited in the fashion area, in the “Nation of Fashion” segment. This segment is made up of 8 areas where the focus is on the profound connection between craftsmanship and Italian know-how through art and the luxury industry. Pirelli PZero will also be present in the “Rubber and Plastic applied to fashion” area: the journey of Italian made innovation and style is told through the evolution of Pirelli’s “rubber soul” in a series of pieces from the PZero collection. Other prestigious Italian fashion brands, which have made Italian style world-famous, will also be present in the other areas.
Rubber boots will be the iconic products exhibited by PZero alongside three head to toe looks, (two for men and one for women) that are the embodiment of the perfectly balanced marriage between Italian tailoring and technical fabrics. For men: a raincoat and a bomber jacket in waterproof technical flannel, a hooded puffer jacket, jeans in a two-toned wash and PZERO REX, the collection’s bestseller.
For women: a double breasted trench coat, stretch denim with a rubber like coating and rubber biker boots designed in collaboration with Diego Dolcini, a world renowned shoe designer, that bring together glamour and practicality.

The new Pirelli PZero collection is strongly inspired by the motor sporting world. Thus, every little detail and element on the Paddock sneaker speaks of that world, thanks to the know-how accrued by Pirelli in the racing world.
The rubber sole, a three-layer tread with a superb grip ensures excellent hold of the ground like the best compounds used in racing tyres. The two toned upper in napped crosta leather and technical fabric with the signature “elongated P” embroidered on the side is reminiscent of the patches that stand out on racing pilots’ suits.
During the race, it is the racetrack that draws all focus, but the heart and soul of motorsports is in the paddocks, behind the scenes, a place that very few people have access to.Even the colours the style comes in from classic black to navy blue to brighter hues such as green and orange, bring to mind all the motor racing teams’ different colours. Last but not least, the moulded heel and the reinforced toe and heel transform Paddock sneakers into perfect driving shoes!
